We are seeking a dedicated GCSE English Tutor to support students in achieving their academic goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong teaching skills, experience with curriculum development, and a passion for literacy education. This role involves working closely with students to improve their English language skills, including reading, writing, and comprehension, while fostering a positive learning environment. Candidates with experience in classroom management, special education, and working with children are highly encouraged to apply. Fluency in additional languages such as Mandarin, French, or Japanese is considered a plus.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored from KS 1to GCSE English curriculum standards
Utilise learning technology to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement
Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
Provide individualized support to students with diverse learning needs, including those requiring special education or early childhood education techniques
Manage classroom dynamics effectively to create a safe and productive learning environment
Incorporate literacy education best practices to improve reading and writing skills
Foster a love for learning through creative and interactive teaching methods
Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance
Collaborate with parents, guardians, and school staff to support student success
Experience
Prior experience working with students in educational settings such as classrooms, tutoring centers, or childcare environments
Proven track record in lesson planning and curriculum development for secondary or early childhood education levels
Experience with classroom management and teaching diverse student populations, including children with special needs
Familiarity with using learning technology tools to facilitate instruction
Knowledge of literacy education strategies and early childhood development principles
Multilingual abilities such as, French, or Japanese are advantageous but not required
Strong writing skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively
QTS status advantage.
Expeirence teachers in higher eudcation with proven track record advantage.
