Variable Hours
This role is offered on a Variable Hours contract for services, giving you the flexibility to choose whether to accept work offered to you. We'll provide an approximate number of hours you may be asked to work, however there is no obligation for work to be offered, and there's no obligation for you to accept the work offered.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will deliver engaging and inclusive GCSE maths lessons, tailored to a wide range of learning abilities. High-quality teaching, learning and assessment will be central to your approach, enabling our students to develop strong literacy skills, critical thinking, and effective exam techniques.
You will plan and deliver inspiring lessons that support students in achieving their academic goals. By monitoring progress and providing constructive feedback, you will play a key role in helping our students prepare for their GCSE examinations. Your contribution to curriculum development and resource improvement will further strengthen the department's delivery.
Collaboration with your colleagues in the Childcare & Health team will support student progression and ensure a consistent approach across the department. Accurate record-keeping of attendance, progress, and achievement will be essential, alongside targeted support for those who may need additional help to reach their potential.

About You
For this role, we are looking for a passionate and dedicated GCSE Maths Teacher who is committed to supporting our young learners in achieving their academic goals. Ideally, you will have a strong background in teaching maths at GCSE level, with the ability to deliver engaging and inspiring lessons that cater to a range of abilities. Your approach will be inclusive and supportive, ensuring every student feels valued and motivated to succeed.
You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as you will be working closely with our students, colleagues, and other stakeholders to drive student progression. A commitment to innovative teaching methods and continuous improvement will be essential, as will your ability to assess and monitor student progress effectively.
The ideal candidate will be adaptable, proactive, and confident in creating a positive and structured learning environment. Your enthusiasm for English and its role in shaping our students' futures will be key in helping them build confidence and develop essential literacy skills. Required
Teaching qualification (must be willing to work towards Level 6 PGCE if not already held).
L3 Qualification in a relevant subject.
GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent Level 2 qualification).
1 years' experience of working within an education setting.
Experience of delivering learning to a range of learners.
Experience of developing learning materials.
