Floorplan Group is a fast-growing construction company with an expanding portfolio ofd domestic projects across Hampshire. We have work confirmed until May 2026 at present including structural alterations, extensions, loft conversions, converting properties to HMOs, and new build properties in the future.

Job Summary

We're looking for an

experienced

General Builder

with strong skills in:

Demolition work Installing steel beams Timber framing and carpentry for structural alterations Other structural building tasks as required Within 20-mile radius of Eastleigh (including Southampton, Portsmouth, Winchester)
You'll be working on varied projects where reliability, skill, and professionalism are key.

Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble building components according to specifications Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for various construction tasks Execute carpentry and joinery work, including framing, roofing, and finishing touches Perform heavy lifting as required for transporting materials and equipment Carry out masonry work for structural integrity and design purposes Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations

Additional Important Information:

Must be

CIS

registered (UTR and National Insurance number required to confirm work) Ability to provide invoices through your own invoicing system for accounts purposes Invoices are paid the Friday after submission Consistent, ongoing work with a growing company A supportive team and opportunities to grow with us

Skills

Proficient in fabrication and assembly techniques Strong knowledge of hand tools and power tools usage Proven experience in general building, particularly demolitions, carpentry, and structural work Skilled in timber framing and fitting steel beams safely to spec

Own tools and transport (must be able to drive to sites across the region)

Good communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality craftsmanship Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team Good communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues and clients

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 200.00-250.00 per day
