We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring our cafe runs smoothly and efficiently, providing exceptional service to our customers. This position involves assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.

Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation, ensuring all items are prepared according to safety and quality standards. Serve food and beverages to customers with a friendly and professional attitude. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including tables, counters, and kitchen equipment. Help with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed. Adhere to food safety regulations to ensure a safe dining experience for all patrons. Collaborate with team members to provide excellent customer service and support during busy periods. Assist in catering events as required, ensuring all aspects of service meet our high standards.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant or cafe environment is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable. Strong food preparation skills with attention to detail. Excellent hospitality skills, demonstrating a genuine desire to help customers. Bartending experience is an advantage but not mandatory. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling clear interaction with customers and colleagues alike.

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 30 per week
