Job Description

We are an event catering company based near Castle Douglas, travelling all over the UK attending boutique music festivals and motor sport events!

We are looking for a general assistant to join our small team. duties would include but isn't limited to: taking orders, till and cash handling, marquee building, kitchen cleaning and kitchen prep. Hours can be long and work can be physical so we're looking for a fit all-rounder. Accommodation, food and travel expenses will be provided for the duration of each event. Please note: we do not provide accommodation or food inbetween events. We require someone who is in the Dumfries & Galloway region preferrably Dalbeattie, Castle Douglas and Dumfries. Driving is not part of the job and not essential but if you live outside of these areas then a car would be neccessary.

Pay is Up To 12.50 per hour.

Each event is usually 2-3 days but can be longer and 1-2 days travelling and setting up time either side. Hours can be between 10-60 hours each event. We don't have events every single weekend so there can be weeks free. There is work inbetween events for the right person.

Most events are on green field sites. Please consider this if you are a hayfever sufferer. Setting up is an outdoor task regardless of weather... please consider this if you are not keen on rain or mud!

You could be away from home for 5 or more days and sometimes as long as 3 weeks and majority of our events are in England so please bear this in mind if you have home commitments.

This is a catering and front of house role so recent experience in waitering/kitchens/catering is highly advantageous.

Events start in May and continue until mid September however there is flexibility for the right person.
