About the Role

We are seeking an experienced

General Foreman

to oversee site operations and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will be responsible for supervising trades, labour, and subcontractors, maintaining health & safety standards, and liaising with site management to drive productivity and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Supervising site teams, subcontractors, and plant operatives Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations at all times Coordinating daily site activities and allocating tasks Monitoring progress, quality, and efficiency of work Liaising with Site Managers, Engineers, and Project Managers Maintaining accurate site records and reporting any issues promptly Assisting with problem-solving and ensuring deadlines are met
Requirements

Proven experience as a General Foreman or Site Supervisor Strong knowledge of groundworks / civil engineering / construction (specify sector) Valid CSCS Gold/Black card (essential) SMSTS or SSSTS certification (essential) First Aid qualification (advantageous) Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills Ability to read and interpret site drawings
