General Operative

Location: Carlton On Trent, NG23 6NT

Working hours: Monday - Thursday 6am - 4pm, Friday 6am - 2pm.

Paid hours: 44.5 hours a week, unpaid breaks of 45 minutes per day.

McMullen Facades are looking for General Operatives that would be interested in a permanent role manufacturing construction components. No previous manufacturing experience is required as full training would be provided. Previous construction experience is an advantage but again not essential.

Responsibilities

Assist in the manufacturing and assembly of architectural facade components, including metal framing systems, glass panels, and composite materials. Learn to operate machinery and equipment under the guidance of experienced technicians and supervisors. Follow and adhere to safety procedures to maintain a secure working environment. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.

Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines, contributing to a positive and efficient work environment.

Requirements

Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction-related role would be advantageous. Experience in using hand and power tools, with the ability to learn and adapt to new equipment quickly. Attention to detail and quality to ensure accurate and precise workmanship. Effective communication skills to follow instructions and work as a team.
