About the Role

Appletex is looking for a reliable and motivated General Production Operative to join our production and warehouse team. This is a hands-on role supporting day-to-day manufacturing, packing, and despatch operations.

No prior experience is required

-- full training will be provided on site. This role is ideal for someone with a positive attitude who is willing to learn and work as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Picking and packing products accurately in line with job orders and customer requirements Rolling and hanking materials to specified measurements, ensuring consistency and neat presentation Carrying out basic sewing tasks using industrial overlocking sewing machines or hand tools (training provided) Preparing goods for despatch, including packaging, labelling, and loading Assisting with stock control, stocktaking, and reporting discrepancies Inspecting materials and finished goods to ensure quality standards are met Following all company health & safety policies and procedures Undertaking any other reasonable duties to support smooth business operations

Skills & Experience

Good manual handling skills and attention to detail Ability to follow instructions and work towards production targets Reliable, punctual, and able to work well within a team Basic literacy and numeracy skills Positive, flexible, and proactive approach to work

Please note:

Many of the technical skills required for this role will be taught on site, so you do not need to meet every requirement to apply.

A willingness to learn is more important than previous experience.
