Salary: 24,796 to 25,989 per annum pro rata

Grade: CD SCP 3-6

Contract Type: Permanent, Variable Hours

Vacancy Hours: 35 hours per week Term Time Only

Location: Thirsk, North Yorkshire

The Governors are seeking to appoint a dedicated professional, starting on, or as soon as possible after, 8th December 2025.



The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic teaching assistant who is able to support and motivate our youngest pupils, including those with additional needs. They will also be able to work flexibly and as part of a team. This teaching assistant will have a Level 3 Early Years qualification.



This role will be based at either Pickhill CE or Crakehall CE Primary School.



The post is an established (permanent) contract. Your working day will be from 8:30am until 4pm, 5 days per week, with a 30-minute lunch break each day. The variable hours contract means that your working hours could increase up to 45 hours in the future. If this happens, your starting time on some days would change to 7.30am and your finish time would change to 6.00pm. Notice of these changes would be provided.
