Reporting into the Service Manager the Generator Technician will provide maintenance, installation, diagnosis, repair and testing services across a range of diesel generator sets, switchgear, control systems and associated equipment. Our support is carried out at client's premises or Pharos sites. Key tasks include:
Responsibilities:
Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance
Carrying out diagnostic, testing and remedial works on generators and associated equipment
Providing call-out cover for generator breakdowns on a rota system
Carrying out client site visits
Projecting spares requirements for upcoming and planned works
Qualifications and Experience:
Experience in Generator Engineering of at least 3 years
Mechanical diagnostic experience
Qualified Mechanical Engineer or similar
Skilled in technical report writing with acute attention to detail
Driving Licence required
Due to the nature of the role there will be a requirement to obtain relevant security clearances, such as, obtaining and maintaining a DBS check, BPSS clearance and NPPV level 1, 2 and 3. This list is not exhaustive and other clearances my be required depending on our client.
