Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Gift Shop Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a keen eye for detail. As a Gift Shop Associate, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional shopping experience to our customers while effectively managing inventory and sales transactions.

Duties

Creative personality, wrapping gifts, creating bouquets, creating special balloons, hampers and personalised gifts on demand. Communicate product knowledge clearly and effectively to enhance customer experience. Engage in upselling techniques to maximise sales opportunities. Maintain an organised and visually appealing shop environment, ensuring merchandise is well-displayed. Handle cash transactions accurately, including basic maths for sales calculations. Manage phone inquiries with excellent phone etiquette, providing information about products and services. Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and keeping track of stock levels. Work collaboratively with team members to achieve shop goals and maintain high standards of customer service.

Qualifications

Strong communication skills in English. Previous experience in retail or customer service is an advantage. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment. Basic maths skills for handling transactions and inventory counts. A friendly disposition with a genuine interest in helping customers find what they need. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if required.
