Job Description
You will be responsible for operating the glass processing equipment to meet daily deadlines, and to assist the General Manager in all areas of day to day operations.
Duties and Responsibilities of their Glass Cutter
- Safe operation of automated glass cutting table.
- Cutting glass sheets to specification
- Safe operation of ancillary glass processing equipment and handling equipment
- Ensure that all factory demands and deadlines are met
- Complete all relevant paperwork and processes involved in day to day production
- Ensure that all requirements under health and safety legislation are actively adhered to.
Person Specification / Qualifications and Experience
- Experience of working in a Glass Production / Manufacturing environment
- Experience of cutting large volumes of glass to low tolerances.
- Experience of working with glass processing software.
- Ability to cut glass by hand
- Experience of working with a cutting table. (machine training will be given) and ancillary glass processing equipment
- Previous experience in use of a gantry crane would be desirable.
- Good communication skills
- Flexible and agile in approach with excellent team working skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From 13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Work Location: In person
