Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers in a welcoming and professional manner.
Assist customers with product selection, sizing, and purchases.
Answer phones, book tee times, and provide basic golf course information when required.
Uphold all club policies and provide a positive guest experience.
Take ownership of tee sheets/confirming entry & scoring & posting results and monitoring competitions.
Assist with special events, promotions, and opens/tournaments as needed.
Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately, handling cash, credit card transactions, and member charges.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the golf shop, displays, and merchandise, always keeping it presentable..
Support inventory control, including tagging, counting, and stock rotation, assists in collation of stock orders (tees/balls etc).
Ensure buggies are always charged/rotated & clean.
Ensure buggies and trollies are always charged for.
Customer Service Management:
Ensure high service standards - always engage with customers..
Answer phones and emails in a timely, professional manner.
Updating members with information when required.
Foster a culture of excellence in customer service to enhance the golfer experience.
Address customer enquiries, concerns, and feedback in a professional manner
Promote the competitions to the membership, particularly our weekly roll ups and major events.
Identify opportunities for increasing revenue through competitions, memberships, and promotions.
Event & Tournament Coordination:
Assist with set up and coordination of golf competitions.
Assist with closing of competitions and posting results in a timely manner.
Coordinate with sponsors and vendors to ensure successful event execution.
Collaborate with marketing teams to promote events and increase participation
.
Qualifications & Skills:
Golf competition software knowledge is beneficial but not essential (Golf Genius, Lightspeed)
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Knowledge of golf course operations and customer service.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Passion for golf and familiarity with the golf industry is a plus.
