Job Title: Seasonal Golf Operations Assistant - Pro Shop & Bar

Location: Holtye Golf Club
Reports To: Bar Manager / GM
Employment: Seasonal / Zero hours contract

Job Overview:

We're seeking a friendly, reliable, and proactive individual to join our team as a Golf Operations Assistant in our on-site Pro Shop and clubhouse bar. This dual-role position requires a customer-focused team player who can manage sales, assist golfers, and serve beverages in a relaxed and professional setting.

The majority of the role will be based serving customers in the Pro Shop with occasional hours supporting the clubhouse team.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide excellent customer service in both the Pro Shop and bar areas Manage golf course & lesson bookings Manage & respond to enquiries via telephone, email & in person Operate tills and handle cash/card transactions accurately Advise customers on golf equipment, apparel, and services Serve drinks and snacks behind the bar in accordance with licensing laws Maintain cleanliness and presentation of merchandise and bar area Re-stock shelves and assist with inventory checks Support event set-ups and provide bar/shop service during tournaments and functions Assist with opening and closing procedures for the Pro Shop and bar

Key Skills & Attributes:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with friendly & approachable attitude Basic computer skills Customer service experience (hospitality or retail preferred) Ability to multi-task and stay composed in a busy environment Attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean, organized spaces A passion for golf & a basic knowledge of the sport Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
