RECRUITMENTiQ is working in partnership with a charity organisation who are seeking a Governance Support Officer to join our Business Services team, the central hub for corporate governance, people and culture, compliance, facilities and administration. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the organisation's governance and executive functions, contributing to its smooth and transparent operation.


About the Role




As Governance Support Officer, you will:


Provide high-level governance and secretariat support to our Board of Directors and Senior Leadership Team Ensure compliance with internal policies and Scottish Government standards Act as a key point of contact for governance-related communication between the CEO, Board, Senior Leadership Team and stakeholders Support the development of board papers, accurate minute-taking, and action tracking Assist in monitoring corporate and ministerial business relevant to our organisation Deliver professional executive support to the Chief Executive Officer, including mailbox management and task coordination

This is not a Personal Assistant (PA) or Executive Assistant (EA) role. It requires a strategic thinker with experience of board governance, governance documentation and an understanding of how high-performing organisations are run.

Key Skills and Experience:




A solid understanding of governance processes and best practice Experience supporting Boards, Committees or equivalent governing bodies Excellent communication and writing skills, including confident minute-taking Strong organisational and planning abilities, with the ability to meet tight deadlines Experience working with confidential materials and handling sensitive information with discretion Strong IT proficiency, especially in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Desirable but not essential:




experience working in a Senior Executive Office or with Senior Leadership understanding of internal controls, audit processes, and risk reporting mechanisms
