This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, organised, and approachable individual to step into a key operational leadership role. You'll work across two sites, alongside another Site Lead, to ensure both locations are managed efficiently and that patients and staff receive exceptional support every day.
About the Role:
As a Site Lead, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day running of both practice sites, supporting the Business and Operations Managers. You'll act as the main point of contact on-site, ensuring smooth operations, coordinating resources, managing reception and triage teams, and resolving issues quickly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities: Site Management
Oversee the daily operations of the practice sites
Log and manage all estate and facilities issues, escalating where required
Support staff with hardware/software queries and coordinate with IT services
Handle general site-related queries, ensuring timely resolution
Maintain high standards of communication between practice teams
Perform regular premises and health & safety checks
Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and emergency equipment checks
Manage practice deliveries, including cold chain compliance
Act as site Fire Marshal and lead on safety procedures
Maintain well-stocked, clean, and functional consulting rooms
Order office supplies and monitor stock levels
Participate in management meetings and cascade relevant information
Support with general administrative duties as required
Team Leadership - Receptionists / Triager's
Line manage the reception and triage team, ensuring high performance and service delivery
Organise staffing rotas and manage annual/sick leave
Conduct appraisals and regular performance reviews
Monitor e-learning completion and coordinate training
Motivate and support the team, resolving day-to-day issues
Oversee petty cash handling and card payment systems
Address and escalate patient complaints as needed
Provide cover/support to the reception team when required
What We're Looking For:
Essential Skills & Experience
A-Level or equivalent qualification, plus relevant experience
GCSE English (Grade C or above) + 3 other GCSEs
Experience working with the public, in healthcare, and in administrative roles
Previous leadership or team management experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office & Outlook
Organised, solution-focused, and confident under pressure
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Committed to confidentiality, professionalism, and quality service
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
AMSPAR qualification
NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care
Leadership or management qualifications
Experience conducting appraisals and developing staff
Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision
Additional Requirements:
Willingness to work flexibly, including outside core hours if needed
DBS check required
