Graduate Design Engineer (Geotechnical)



Summary of Role

Reporting to the Principal/Senior Design Engineer (geotechnical), the Graduate Design Engineer will be part of the Engineering Department working on a variety of civil and geotechnical projects. The role will involve undertaking relevant design calculations for the different applications using Geosynthetics systems. The Graduate Design Engineer would also contact consultant engineers/architects and contractors to discuss solutions/designs with a view to gaining specifications and promoting new solutions with Geosynthetics.

Key Responsibilities

To produce relevant geotechnical design calculations, drawings and relevant documents for the use of Geosynthetics materials Discussing projects/solutions and designs with customers (consultant engineers, civil engineering and contractors) to provide technical solutions Contact consultant engineers and civil engineering contractors with a view to gaining specifications and promoting the product range Understand the Company business plan and philosophy To develop and enhance technical capabilities of the company

Requirements of the Role

BEng or MEng on Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering or similar discipline Preferable 1 or 2 years of relevant experience in a Geotechnical or Engineering role To read technical drawings to ascertain customer requirements Good experience with AutoCAD Ability to work under pressure Keen drive to succeed and learn Organised and responsible Ability to be self-motivated and work alone/ part of a team
