NOV ELMAR is the global leader in the design and manufacture of wireline intervention products for slickline and electric line applications and is a subsidiary company of NOV with its main office in Houston, Texas. NOV ELMAR, located in Kintore, Scotland currently has a fulltime opening in its Engineering Office for a Design Engineer. We deliver innovative engineering designs and solutions to meet our customers' needs.


As a Graduate Design Engineer, you'll be an integral part of a dynamic team, contributing to the development of cutting-edge engineering solutions. You'll work on a variety of projects, ranging from high-volume manufacturing to bespoke, one-off designs. This is an ideal opportunity to build a solid foundation in engineering, gain hands-on experience, and grow within a company that values innovation and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop engineering drawings, calculations, and reports to meet project deadlines. Assist in the design, testing, and delivery of both standard and custom-built products. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, supply chain, and clients. Review and issue engineering documentation with a focus on quality and accuracy. Provide technical support and contribute to problem-solving across departments. Support testing and validation activities to ensure product performance. Engage in continuous improvement efforts and suggest innovative ideas. Manage tasks effectively, maintaining clear communication on progress and issues. Participate in administrative duties to support the engineering department. Take ownership of your professional development through training and mentoring.

Qualifications & Skills

Essential:

Engineering degree or HND with 2+ years of relevant experience Strong technical skills and attention to detail Effective communication and teamworking abilities Ability to read and interpret technical drawings Master's degree in engineering Familiarity with CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD) and FEA tools
