Job Description

The Role: Graduate Electronic Design Engineer

Due to an increase in business and growth of the business, my client have a need for a Graduate Electronic Design Engineer to join their existing team. The successful person will be part of a highly skilled team, responsible for the concept, design, detailing and specification of parts, as well as liaising with both manufacturers and suppliers to ensure cost effective designs. The role requires a hands-on approach with the ability to communicate effectively with production and purchasing departments in a fast paced development environment.

The Company

Without this sounding too \xe2\x80\x98hush hush\xe2\x80\x99 my client design and manufacture security systems on a need to know basis. You will be joining a company that has a reputation for delivering superior quality surveillance equipment into law enforcement agencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing, documenting and testing bespoke electronics systems, ensuring all technical documentation and information produced is filed and maintained correctly in accordance with company procedures and processes.
• Design of circuit boards
• Define and produce electrical/electronic wiring diagrams

The Right Person

The successful Electronic Design Engineer will have knowledge of analogue and digital electronics, components and sensors as well as knowledge of CE approval and EMC test requirements as well as the following attributes:-

• Ability to define and produce electrical/electronic wiring diagrams

• Knowledge of analogue and digital electronics, components and sensors

• Experience with Altium Design

• Knowledge of CE approval and EMC test requirements

• Knowledge of Ethernet based circuit boards & Network switches
