Job Description

Graduate HR and Office Administrator

About Us

Praetura Group was founded to provide growing and ambitious companies with the funding they need to succeed. By bringing a diverse range of financial services together, we can support businesses as they scale and their funding requirements change.

At Praetura, we know it takes more than just capital to build a great business. It takes funding on the right terms, with the support of people who've been there before. And that's what we aim to provide, more than money.

The Role

We're looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Graduate HR and Office Administrator to join our People team, starting in January 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin their career in HR and Talent within a fast-paced and growing organisation. The role initially combines office administration and HR support as part of a maternity cover period, giving you a broad foundation in business operations and people support.

Once the maternity cover period ends, the role will transition into a dedicated HR and Talent position, where you'll gain hands-on experience across recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, and employee engagement.

You don't need prior HR experience - just enthusiasm, strong organisational skills, and a genuine interest in developing a career in People and Talent. We'll fully support your professional growth, including funding your CIPD qualification.

The role is based in our Wilmslow office, with occasional travel to our Manchester (Spinningfields) office for meetings and events.

Key Responsibilities

Phase 1 - Office and People Support (Maternity Cover Period)

Be the first point of contact for visitors and ensure the office runs smoothly day-to-day. Coordinate office supplies, contractors, and facilities management. Support senior leaders (CEO and CFO) with meeting coordination, travel bookings and ad-hoc tasks. Assist with organising internal events, such as socials, wellbeing initiatives, and charity activities. Support the People team with HR administration, onboarding, and maintaining employee records.
Phase 2 - Transition to HR and Talent

Following the maternity cover period, your role will evolve to focus on HR and Talent development, including:

Taking ownership of the HR system (HiBob) - maintaining accurate employee data, producing reports and ensuring the system is kept up to date. Responding to basic HR queries and supporting employees with day-to-day requests. Drafting offer letters and employment contracts for new starters. Adding new employees to the HR system, updating changes and maintaining employee records. Supporting recruitment administration and activities, such as posting job adverts, arranging interviews and communicating with candidates. Helping to organise and run graduate and apprentice assessment centres. Helping to coordinate talent attraction activities and early careers initiatives. Contributing to employee engagement projects and wellbeing campaigns. Preparing HR reports, supporting internal communications and maintaining HR systems. Working closely with the HR Director and HR Partner to deliver key projects across Praetura Group.

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

Keen to start a career in HR and Talent and motivated to learn and grow. Organised, reliable and proactive, with strong attention to detail. Confident and approachable, with excellent communication skills. Tech-savvy, comfortable using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). A team player who enjoys helping others and being part of a collaborative, people-focused culture.
No prior HR or office experience is required - we're looking for potential, curiosity, and a positive attitude.

What We Offer

Fully funded CIPD qualification and structured development plan to support your HR career. Competitive salary plus discretionary yearly bonus. Company pension scheme. 25 days' holiday (plus bank holidays) and your birthday off. Private healthcare for you and your immediate dependents. Enhanced family-friendly policies. Regular social events, including summer and winter parties. A supportive, people-first culture that invests in your growth and success.
