We have been shaping British gardens since 1878. As one of the UK's leading manufacturers and retailers of sheds, summerhouses, and outdoor garden buildings, we take pride in designing products that blend tradition with innovation.
We're on an exciting journey to reimagine our range--bringing fresh thinking, smarter construction, and design-led outdoor living solutions to homes across the UK. That's where you come in.
Role Overview
We're looking for a motivated and imaginative Graduate Designer to join our Product Development team. You'll play a hands-on role in helping design the next generation of sheds, summerhouses, log cabins and more--products that are practical, visually engaging, and built to last.
This is a fantastic opportunity to grow within a supportive team, developing your technical and creative skills while working on real-world products. We're looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, a passion for problem solving, and a commitment to learning and progression.
Key Responsibilities
As a graduate designer, you'll receive guidance and mentoring while contributing to a wide range of creative and technical tasks:
Assist in designing outdoor structures and garden buildings, with consideration for usability, materials, and sustainability.
Support the production of detailed 3D CAD models and technical drawings using Solidworks.
Help create assembly instructions and product manuals using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
Collaborate with the marketing team to help visualise and communicate product features.
Work with engineers, product managers, and manufacturers to understand feasibility and the design-to-production process.
Research innovative materials, finishes, and sustainable design approaches.
Contribute to workshops, ideation sessions, and cross-functional design reviews.
Support product testing, prototyping, and incorporating feedback to improve designs.
Keep up to date with design trends in outdoor living and modular construction.
