We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Graduate Communications Officer to support the work of the central corporate communications team. The role has a focus on social media creating content, managing and monitoring our platforms as well as supporting the development and delivery of communications campaigns and messaging that promote council services, enhance civic pride, and position the borough as a great place to live, work, invest, and visit.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a creative and hard-working team who have focus on telling the story and experiences of our employees and residents from their view and voice.
About You
We are looking for someone with strong written and verbal communication skills who canproduce clear, engaging content for a range of audiences and platforms. A key skill will be the ability to generate fresh ideas for campaigns and storytelling that resonate with our local communities.
A recent degree and a genuine interest in local government and public service are essential. We are also looking for someone that takes initiative, shows curiosity, and is eager to learn and grow. We need a person who is well organised and works well with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders to achieve shared goals
