The Role

We are seeking a Graduate Surveyor to assist our busy Commercial Team, which currently comprises two Chartered Surveyors, a Commercial Management Surveyor and support staff.

The position is a General Practice role based in Bury St Edmunds. The primary focus of the role will be Commercial Agency work, however the candidate will also be required to undertake and support with Valuations, Lease Advisory and Property Management work.

The candidate will be working with a wide range of clients and across all commercial sectors including Offices, Industrial, Retail and Development Land. They will be expected to undertake work both on their own and to support other members of the team.

This general practice exposure will provide candidates with excellent knowledge, understanding and experience to sit their APC.

The role is Full time and predominantly office based.

The Candidate

We are seeking an enthusiastic, diligent and professional person to join our team. The right candidate will preferably be able to demonstrate/hold the following:

- An RICS cognate Degree and are seeking to become a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors

- Non-cognate Degrees may be considered for candidates who are proposing to enroll in a RICS accredited conversion course or considering the five year experience route toward qualification.

- Candidates will be able to demonstrate an excellent academic background

- Previous work experience within the property industry would be preferable.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Experience in negotiation and undertaking transactional work

- Excellent inter-personal skills

- High IT literacy including the use of social media platforms

- Strong academic record of achievement

- Full UK Drivers Licence and car ownership

Remuneration & Benefits

A competitive salary commensurate with experience /education.

Full APC support will be provided to candidates to progress to qualification as soon as possible.

Enrolment within the Workplace Pension scheme.

Initial 21 days paid annual leave, increasing each year of employment to a maximum of 25 days in addition to bank holidays.
