Contract- Permanent, Office Based (No hybrid working available)


Hours - 24 hours/3 days between Monday to Friday 8.30 till 5pm. Working days to be agreed, occasional evening and weekend working may be required


Location: Gogar Depot, 1 Myreton Drive, Edinburgh, EH12 9GF.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Graphic Designer to join the Marketing & Communications team on a part-time basis.


Reporting to the Marketing & Communications Manager, you will lead on designing and producing assets in a variety of formats, for both internal and external use. Forming a key part of a busy team, this role is highly diverse and will involve liaising with departments across the business to best represent and champion the Edinburgh Trams brand. A background in graphic design and experience working with the Adobe Creative Suite is essential.


Whilst this role is office based, there will be an expectation you will work at various locations across our tram network in line with business requirements. The role is permanent, and part time with 3 working days between Monday-Friday which can be flexible. However, we are a 24 hour/7days business so you may be required to work out with your normal working hours to accommodate business needs, which may include evenings and weekends.

Create assets for campaigns, website, presentations, print and social media. This might include static, animated or video content for internal and external use Brand champion, ensuring clear, consistent and high-quality examples of the Edinburgh Trams brand wherever it appears Liaise with departments across the business to prepare and update general company marketing, engineering and general collateral, for both print and digital use Prepare print-ready files and liaise with suppliers Manage multiple design projects under tight deadlines Support the marketing team with the planning and delivery of marketing and sales campaigns as part of the annual marketing plan Contribute to creative ideation and campaign development Manage stock of print collateral Assist with content creation for social media, including video production

About you

The candidate will be required to demonstrate:


Design-related qualification, or equivalent experience Strong working knowledge of design software, especially the Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere Pro) Up to date knowledge of design trends and software Excellent company product knowledge Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to forge strong relationships with stakeholders An innovative and critical approach to problem solving. A creative and strong eye for design, demonstrable through an extensive portfolio
