Mon-Sat: 7am-2pm, on a 5 day rota

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Greengrocer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and maintaining a well-organised and appealing display of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Duties

Inspection of produce to ensure all products purchased are to a high standard

Selection of products to meet demand & need within our customer base

Ordering of a range of produce

Regular price checking across suppliers and monitoring of margins

Ensure all products are replenished and well displayed for our customers and correctly rotated.

Regularly check the quality of products following company standards.

Process damaged and out of date products.

Preparing cut veg and fruit for our prepack range.

Occasionally travel to the market for produce.

Assist customers in an enthusiastic and friendly manner.

Maintaining Health & Safety, Hygiene and Food Quality standards.

Assist with general cleaning tasks

Ensuring fruit & vegetable area remains clean and orderly

Interacting with customers & enquiring as to their shopping experience

Responding to customer requests for products in adjusting the range

Ordering an appropriate range and volume of stock bearing in mind seasonality and customer demand

A knowledge and interest in fresh food & deli produce would be preferred

Who we are looking for

Owner of a full, clean UK driving licence

An effective communicator who can work well as part of a team in fast-paced environment

Ability to use your own initiative, be pro-active and adaptable to change and production demands

Outgoing with a passion for good food and an interest in local produce

Friendly and approachable

Pay: 26,500.00-29,120.00 per year
