Job Description

Due to an increasing demand for our Garden Greenhouses we are looking to increase our workforce.

We are looking for someone to join our team of greenhouse delivery drivers who travel around the UK to deliver our products to client households or businesses.

Deliveries will be in a 3.5T flat bed truck and requires a driving license with Category B.

This vacancy would suit individuals who enjoy long distance driving along with 1 -2 days max overnight stay per week.

Deliveries are scheduled for Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays with local loading required Monday, Wednesday & Friday. Loading takes a matter 30 minutes to an hour and in most cases the company vehicle can be taken home if it is deemed to be parked in a safe area and is only permitted for delivery use.

Each delivery day consists of 5 -8 drops.

The right applicant should have the following skills;

Enjoy driving long distances Hardworking Communicating with customers in polite and professional manner Reliable Patient Physically Fit/strong enough to carry the product safely Care and attention to detail
The job requires early morning starts if the first delivery address is under a 4-hour drive from Ipswich with the 1st delivery window being approximately 8:00AM. If the first delivery address is over 4 hours away from Ipswich, then overnight accommodation will be provided with an 8:00AM delivery the next day expected. Tools and vehicles are provided by the company.

The role also includes occasions where overnight stays are required. It is always a single night with it normally being once per week. Some weeks will require a 2nd single night away.

This role is for a NON PAYE position. We are looking for a self employed driver whether they be a sole trader or a Limited Company.

Requirements:

A valid driver's licence and a clean driving record (max 6 points). Able to handle a 3.5 Tonne flat bed truck and perform loading / unloading tasks. Able to carefully lift metal frames and panels of greenhouse glass.. Able to manage your time and remain organised while under stress. Committed to providing accurate and secure deliveries.
