We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grill Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and a strong understanding of food safety and preparation techniques. As a Grill Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment, ensuring that all dishes meet our standards for taste and presentation.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook meals on the grill, ensuring all food is cooked to the appropriate temperatures and standards. Assist in meal preparation by chopping, marinating, and seasoning ingredients as required. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils used during food preparation. Adhere to food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all customers. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods. Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies. Follow recipes accurately to maintain consistency in taste and presentation of dishes.

Requirements

Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role within a restaurant or culinary setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation and presentation. A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques in the kitchen. Ability to work well as part of a team, demonstrating good communication skills with colleagues.
