Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Grill Chef to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and grilling kebabs over charcoal, managing the skewer preparation process, and supporting other kitchen stations as needed. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-end environment and contribute to a world-class dining experience.
Full Time shift patterns spanning from 3pm -10:30pm. Weekend availability is a must. Hours may shift depending on business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook kebabs over charcoal to the highest standard.
Monitor grill temperatures and cooking times to ensure food is cooked to perfection.
Manage skewer preparation, ensuring efficient food preparation and cooking processes.
Manage inventory while adhering to food safety standards and liaise with Head Chef to order supplies
Support other kitchen stations and assist the team during busy service times.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill area.
Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are upheld.
Monitor stock levels and report any shortages to the head chef.
Implement time management strategies to optimise workflow during peak hours.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Grill Chef, preferably in a high-end or Turkish restaurant (2 years or more).
Strong understanding of Turkish cuisine and grilling techniques.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work on holidays as required.
HCCAP level 2 qualification is desirable
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods, work in a hot environment, and handle grilling equipment.
