Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grill Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Grill Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals while ensuring food safety and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen environment. This position requires an individual who is capable of working efficiently under pressure and is committed to providing exceptional culinary experiences.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of grilled items, ensuring that all meals are prepared to the highest standards. Follow food safety guidelines and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times. Assist in meal preparation by chopping, marinating, and seasoning ingredients as required. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is cooked correctly and safely. Help maintain inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to management. Clean and sanitise workstations, utensils, and equipment after use to uphold hygiene standards.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to prepare meals efficiently while maintaining quality standards. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. A passion for culinary arts with a willingness to learn and develop skills further. Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
