Overview

We are seeking an energetic and skilled Grill Chef to join our lively kitchen team in Rainham. The ideal candidate will have plenty of experience working in a busy, fast-paced kitchen turning out high volumes of quality food. As a Grill Chef, you will be responsible for producing our renowned smash-patty burgers cooked to order for both dine-in and takeaway customers. We are a team of do-ers, so you need to be prepared to get stuck in and relish the challenges of a demanding role.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to menu specifications. Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill station and surrounding kitchen areas. Assist in the preparation of ingredients. Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal quality of meals. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Help with inventory management by keeping track of stock.

Requirements

Proven experience as a chef in a restaurant or similar setting, particularly on the grill. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary standards. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment. A genuine passion for cooking with a keen interest in street food. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
This role is available for an immediate start.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to 12.25 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 45 per week
