Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of grilled items, ensuring all meals are cooked to perfection. Assist in meal preparation by chopping, marinating, and seasoning ingredients as required. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards. Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food quality and safety. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Help manage inventory by keeping track of stock levels and reporting any shortages. Follow all health and safety regulations while handling food and kitchen equipment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary setting is preferred, particularly in food preparation and cooking. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues. A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques within the culinary field. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
