We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grill Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of grilled dishes while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. This role requires a passion for culinary arts and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook grilled items according to menu specifications, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill station, including proper storage of food items and equipment. Follow all food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure safe meal preparation. Assist in meal preparation by chopping, marinating, and seasoning ingredients as required. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Monitor cooking times and temperatures to guarantee that all dishes are cooked to perfection. Help train new kitchen staff on grill techniques and food safety practices when necessary. Maintain inventory of supplies at the grill station and communicate needs to management.

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation or as a cook in a restaurant setting, particularly with grilling techniques. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and kitchen hygiene standards. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating excellent communication skills. Passion for culinary arts with a willingness to learn new skills and techniques. Capability to work under pressure during peak service times while maintaining high-quality standards. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
