The Smoke Pit is a vibrant independant restaurant located in Northampton town centre. We specialise in American-Style smokehouse food. As well as premium steaks and burgers.
Responsibilities will include cooking to a high standard in a fast paced environment, food preparation and cleaning the kitchen.
Experience of a min 1 year required, however we will teach you everything you need to know to succeed and progress in our kitchen.
Working closely with Head chef and kitchen management team to ensure the continued success of one of Northampton's finest eateries!
We're looking for someone who has a passion for hospitality, driven and is comfortable with high volume food production.
Progression within the business also applicable for the right candidates.
Competitive hourly rates or Salary offered to the right candidates.
Full time hours available.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and food safety guidelines
- Operate grill and other kitchen equipment effectively and safely
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing sauces
- Ensure that all food is cooked to perfection and presented attractively
- Monitor food inventory and communicate any shortages or needs to the kitchen manager
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Grill Cook or similar role in a restaurant or food service establishment
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and procedures
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract
Pay: 7.60-13.22 per hour
