Job Title:

Griddle Chef / General Assistant

Location:

Based in Bilsthorpe, Newark, NG22 8TH

Reports to:

Shift Supervisor

Hours of work:

7 to 8am Till 3 to 4pm depending on season

Salary Range:

National Living Wage + Training uplift after trained in role

Summary of Position:

The primary responsibility of the applicant will be to prepare short order meals and cook off breakfast and lunch items to the menu, as well as ensuring preparation for the following days meals. The applicant will need to keep our small buffet selection topped up (when running).

As this is a small business additional work within the team will be required to cover other staff's roles (bussing, serving, waiting, pot washing) during quieter periods and when other staff are on breaks.

Primary Responsibilities

To provide excellent customer service to customers, To follow restaurant procedures with regard to setting serving food and drinks efficiently. up/clearing tables and serving food.To have extensive knowledge of the restaurant menu and all areas of the restaurant. To assist other colleagues as required.

To prepare orders and other food items as required maintaining good food safety and working practices. To comply with the restaurant's health and safety policy.

To clean and care for equipment in working area. To handle money and credit card transactions accurately.

Essential Personal Specification

Qualifications:

Educated to GCSE level.

Experience:

Relevant work experience in food service

Qualities and Attitude:

Excellent communication skills, good team player, friendly and outgoing.

Skills:

Ability to cook on a griddle / fryer.

Experience:

At least one year's relevant work experience

Full meal prep at a commie chef level.

Pay: From 12.51 per hour
