Overview

We are seeking an experienced Groundworker / skilled Machine Operator to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be proactive and forward-thinking, able to anticipate the next stage of work and ensure materials, plant, and site preparations are ready in advance. As this is a time-sensitive project, efficiency and planning are essential.

You will be expected to work seamlessly alongside our team members and interact professionally with customers. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to contribute positively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

Experience operating relevant plant and machinery Ability to read site plans and work independently when required Hand dig around services with a shovel in trenches, spot other digger operators, and perform other groundworks as required. Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety requlations. Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects. Maintain a clean and organised work environment. Report any issues or concerns to the site supervisor promptly.

Qualifications

Previous experience in groundworks or a related field is preferable. CSCS card (or equivalent) NPORS Full UK driving licence Strong understanding of health and safety practices on construction sites. Excellent physical fitness and stamina for manual labour tasks. Good communication skills / ability to work proactively within a team. A valid CCS card is mandatory; there is a lot of further training potentially available for the right candidate.
