Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Groundworker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in various construction projects, ensuring that groundwork is completed to the highest standards. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety on site.

Responsibilities

Prepare sites for construction by clearing debris and levelling ground. Dig trenches and holes for foundations, drainage systems, and utilities. Operate machinery such as diggers and compactors safely and efficiently. Assist in the installation of drainage systems, including pipes and manholes. Work alongside other tradespeople to ensure project timelines are met. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in groundwork or related construction roles is preferred. Ability to operate basic construction machinery; relevant certifications are an advantage. CSCS (Green Card) minimum requirement. Strong physical fitness and stamina to handle demanding tasks. Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Awareness of health and safety practices within the construction industry. A valid driving licence is desirable but not mandatory.

We work on a national level with our clients which from time to time requires our teams to work away. Accommodation and travel costs are provided by us.

We are seeking an individual to work on a subcontract basis in our teams (Tools provided).

Job Type: Freelance

Pay: 140.00-180.00 per day
