Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team in maintaining the outdoor areas of our premises. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gardening and groundskeeping, ensuring our grounds are well-kept and visually appealing.
Duties
- Perform garden maintenance tasks such as planting, weeding, and pruning
- Irrigate plants and maintain proper watering schedules
- Utilise both power tools and hand tools for various groundskeeping activities
- Carry out landscape maintenance duties to enhance the overall appearance of the grounds
- Assist in growing and nurturing plants to ensure a vibrant outdoor environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in groundskeeping or a related field is advantageous
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools for maintenance tasks
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and watering techniques
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve landscaping goals
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining outdoor spaces
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: 15.00-17.00 per hour
Experience:
Gardening: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
Driving Licence (required)
Work Location: In person
