Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining the aesthetic appeal and functionality of outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of horticulture and landscape maintenance, ensuring that all areas are kept in pristine condition.

Duties

Perform regular maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns. Operate and maintain various hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Assist in the installation and upkeep of irrigation systems. Carry out planting, pruning, and caring for shrubs, trees, and flowers. Monitor plant health and manage pest control measures as necessary. Maintain cleanliness of all grounds equipment and storage areas. Collaborate with team members to complete landscaping projects efficiently. Maintenance jobs in wet weather

Skills

Proficiency in using hand tools such as shears, spades, and rakes. Experience with power tools including lawn mowers, blowers, and trimmers. Knowledge of irrigation systems and their maintenance. Strong background in horticulture with growing experience preferred. Familiarity with gardening techniques and landscape maintenance practices. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Good physical stamina to perform manual tasks outdoors in various weather conditions.
