2nd Man - Groundworker / Civils Operative (Working Away)

Pay:

14.00-16.00 per hour (negotiable on experience)

Hours:

45 hours per week (Mon-Thu standard week)

About the Role

Rouse Civils Ltd are looking for reliable and experienced

Groundworkers / 2nd Men

to join our EV and civils installation teams working across the UK.

This role

requires working away from home

.

We

meet at our Wigan yard (WN3 4DY)

early Monday morning (6-7am) and

return Friday

.

All

accommodation, travel, and 20/day subsistence allowance

are provided.

What You'll Be Doing

Assisting lead operative and plant driver on EV and civils projects Hand and machine excavation (hard & soft) Installing ducts, edgings, kerbs, and concrete works to spec Reinstatement: paving, tarmac, fencing, turfing, etc. Supporting with CAT & Genny scanning and cable avoidance Keeping site tidy and working safely at all times

Hours & Overtime

Standard:

45 hours per week (Mon-Thu, 10-12 hr shifts)

Friday:

Normally a non-working day if 45 hours completed

Overtime:

Weekdays - flat rate Weekends - x1.5 Nights - x2

Experience & Requirements

CSCS card

(essential) Experience in ducting, drainage, or reinstatement (essential)

CAT & Genny

knowledge

NPORS / CPCS

360, Dumper, or Roller (preferred) Manual Handling, First Aid, Abrasive Wheels (preferred)

Full UK Driving Licence

(preferred) Must be comfortable

working away from home all week
