Supervisors

Role Overview
As a
Groundworks Operator / Supervisor
, you'll be responsible for delivering all aspects of groundworks operations on civil engineering and construction projects. You'll work closely with site management to ensure work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to specification.
This role is ideal for someone with strong practical experience in groundworks who's looking to take on more responsibility or progress into a supervisory position within a growing company.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out and oversee all aspects of groundworks, including:
Excavation, site preparation and foundations
Drainage installation
Kerbing, edging, paving and ducting
Concrete works and finishing
Paving/flagging a plus
Preparation for surfacing and reinstatement works
Supervise a small team of operatives, ensuring productivity and quality standards are met.
Ensure all work is completed in line with project specifications and health & safety requirements.
Communicate effectively with site management, engineers, and clients.
Record site progress and report any issues or delays.
Promote a positive safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies.
Skills & Experience Required
Proven experience in general groundworks (minimum 3 years preferred).
Experience in utility's and ground preparation.
Use of machine mini diggers
Ability to read and work from site drawings and levels.
Competence in operating plant and machinery (360, dumper, roller, etc.).
Previous supervisory or leading hand experience preferred (training can be provided for the right candidate).
Good communication and leadership skills.
CSCS card (essential).
SSSTS / SMSTS and CPCS or NPORS tickets are advantageous.
Full UK driving licence required.
