Group Director of Finance \xe2\x80\x93 South Hampshire College Group

South Hampshire College Group (SHCG) is a large and newly merged college group, that brings together three Further Education colleges from Southampton, Eastleigh and Fareham to make one strong, responsive and ambitious organisation.

We have opportunity for a strategic and ambitious leader to join us as a Group Director of Finance. This senior role will be accountable for the leadership, planning and organisation of all finance provisions, related regulatory and audit compliance for SHCG.

As we move through an exciting transitional period, there will be opportunity for this leader to influence and shape the finance provision for the group. This role will establish strategic pathways for the finance services to fulfil the mission and vision for the group, implementing effective policies and procedures which will ensure a robust, sustainable financial performance for the organisation.

Key responsibilities for the role will include;

The timely completion of complex and detailed financial returns required by Government bodies, funding regulations and other key external stakeholders.

Provide proactive business partnering support for key senior customers across the SHCG.

Lead and manage the preparation of all financial business plans, budgets, forecasts, accounts, returns and audits.

Provide leadership and strategic direction to a team of finance professionals across the group.

Work collaboratively with the Executive and Senior Leadership team on the continued quality and sustainability of the SHCG shared services and organisational initiatives.

The successful candidate will work flexibly across all sites across the Group, but their main base of work will be agreed at a later stage.
