Job Description

Adham Hotels Group is looking to appoint a Group Financial Controller to take responsibility for the 6 hotels currently within its portfolio. These hotels are located within the West / South Yorkshire region along with North Lincolnshire and Tyneside. The role will be primarily based in Rotherham.

Based In Primelodge Rotherham (You will be expected to travel to other sites as required and travel expenses will be paid).

The Role:



Use financial analysis, data trends and market information to anticipate needs, identifies operating/financial issues, and recommends actions to maximize financial return.

Prepare the weekly hotels audit and highlight any discrepancy.

Prepare Monthly & Annual Management Accounts

Prepare weekly and monthly forecast and review with the hotels' GM.

Prepare Quarterly VAT return.

Reconcile all balance sheet items monthly and review with the hotels GMs.

Create the annual operating budget for each property and provide analytical support during budget reviews to identify revenue opportunities, cost saving and productivity opportunities for department heads.

Prepare monthly position of actual results against budget, forecast and last year, analysing results and recommend to General Managers measures required to meet budget.

Ensure Finance Team achieve daily & monthly accounting timelines to ensure timely production of accounts.

Ensure sound controls and accounting standards are in place as per company Policy & Procedures.

Assists external and Statutory Auditors as requested.

Assisting and supporting team. Educating, evaluating, and motivating teams to achieve hotels' controls and commercial goals.

To be considered as our Financial Controller, you should have:



Degree in Business / Finance, or a relevant field of work, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.

Professional accounting or finance designation or certification preferred.

Experience in hotel accounting with at least 3 years in as a Financial Controller role / Assistant Financial Controller or Finance Manager for a matrix hotel chain.

Hotel accounting experience is essential for this role,



Demonstrated knowledge of finance, Forecasting, budgeting, and accounting processes and regulations.

Demonstrated ability to assess and understand a variety of internal and external economic and financial issues which impact the business, to analyse data and forecast future business trends, and to develop effective financial plans based on businesses assessments.

Demonstrated experience with Dynamics, Guestline (Rezlynx); Procure Wizard; or similar financial software for the purpose of financial reporting, analysis, and presentation.

Demonstrated ability to scope a project and develop a plan of action, ability to influence others, present convincing arguments, and deal with conflicting viewpoints.
