Owing to recent and future growth aspirations along its care and construction business, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a HR Manager to join our dynamic and fast based head office team.
With a headcount of 300 Millennium Care is a medium sized care home operator based in Standish and Ramsbottom where it operates five care homes. The organisation is a multi-award winning BCorp accredited business focused on driving a meaningful social impact across all its stakeholders, both internally, externally and importantly, as part of the employee experience proposition.

The Opportunity:




Owing to recent and future growth aspirations along its care and construction business, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a HR Manager to join our dynamic and fast based head office team.


In this role, you will play a critical and influential role in devising, creating and executing a HR strategy that supports our vision to deliver care in innovative ways and build the next generation of care homes and care villages. This is both a highly strategic and hands on role where the ideal candidate be involved in crafting and developing a strong leadership team and compassionate care teams.


The Ideal Candidate:




We are looking for a purpose driven candidate who wants to work in a sector that has a significant opportunity to shape positively the lives of a care team and those in our care. There is a strong preference for a HR professional looking to enter a business where they can mould, shape and implement a strategy and seeking to make a large influence on an organisation by shaping the people management experience across all divisions. The candidate will work alongside senior management in strategic decision making including the regional manager, managing director, marketing teams and care home managers.


As part of this, there will be a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and will be looking for a candidate with strong communication and interpersonal skills to sit aside a creative ability to have a vision.


Strategic HR Leadership




Be involved in understanding and shaping the organisational behaviour and psychology to consistently drive a positive workplace culture and employee experience Provide guidance and support to business leaders on organisational design, workforce planning, and change management initiatives Support senior leaders in driving key high level decisions on the existing portfolio business and future business initiatives

Employee Relations & Support




Serve as the point of contact for employee relations issues, conducting investigations and resolving conflicts as needed Build and maintain a positive work environment, promoting open communication, employee engagement, and company culture Advise managers on performance management, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures supporting our management team by leading on employee relations matters Supporting our employees to air, have a voice and be listened and responded to.

Employee Development & Retention




Design and coordinate training, development, and succession planning programs to build organisational capabilities alongside the group Regional Manager Develop and implement retention strategies and initiatives to promote long-term employee satisfaction

HR Reporting and policy compliance




Analyse HR metrics, prepare monthly reports on HR activities and identify trends and recommendations for action Support data-driven decision making across HR and business operations Manage HR audits, risk assessments, and ensure legal compliance in all HR processes Experience of managing sponsorship activities within the Home Office's Sponsorship Management System, including issuing and assigning Certificates or Sponsorship and monitoring sponsored employees' immigration status
