The

Group Sales Manager

is a commercially driven role responsible for maximising group revenue across L+R Hotels' UK and international portfolio. Working closely with the Global Director of Sales and individual hotel sales and revenue teams, the role focuses on proactively generating, negotiating, and converting group business across corporate and MICE segments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong commercial acumen, relationship-building expertise, and the ability to manage complex, multi-property enquiries to deliver seamless client experiences and optimise profitability.

Key Responsibilities



Proactively identify, negotiate, and convert group business opportunities across the L+R Hotels UK and international portfolio, including corporate, conference, and events. Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, event agencies, DMCs, and corporate clients to drive repeat business and long-term partnerships. Maintain a robust pipeline of group leads and opportunities, ensuring timely follow-up and conversion in line with sales targets. Coordinate closely with individual hotel sales, revenue, and operations teams to ensure alignment on rates, inventory, and operational delivery. Collaborate with hotel teams to ensure group enquiries are responded to promptly and professionally, with a focus on conversion and client satisfaction. Develop and implement targeted group sales strategies to optimise occupancy, rate, and overall revenue contribution across the portfolio. Represent L+R Hotels at industry trade shows, sales missions, networking events, and client meetings to enhance brand visibility and market reach. Produce and analyse regular reports on group sales performance, booking pace, and market trends to identify growth opportunities and inform strategy. Maintain accurate client records, sales activities, and performance metrics using Salesforce and Notion for internal collaboration and reporting. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop creative group offers, campaigns, and promotional materials for key market segments. Support and coordinate familiarisation trips, client site visits, and cross-property events to showcase the UK city portfolio.
