Group Senior Manager - Colleague Experience & Engagement

Location: Hybrid London 2 Days a week Home 3 days a week

Salary: \xc2\xa380-90,000 + car allowance +bonus + great career opportunities

As a FTSE listed Retail and hospitality organisation our Client is seeking an incredible Group Senior Manager Colleague Engagement to join their team. You will play a pivotal role in creating a positive and inclusive work environment for their colleagues across all levels and locations globally. You will work closely with local leaders in the de-centralised structure to develop and implement colleague engagement strategies that align with their company\'s values and goals. Based at their corporate head offices in London with the option of working remotely for 2-3 days per week, you will lead a team and collaborate with stakeholders across various functions.

The role:

  • Develop and implement a global colleague engagement strategy that fosters a positive and inclusive work culture across the global organisation.
  • Collaborate with local and regional managers to ensure alignment of engagement initiatives with regional and local needs while maintaining consistency with overall company objectives.
  • Lead the colleague engagement team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to team members to drive engagement initiatives effectively.
  • Design and implement programs and initiatives to enhance colleague satisfaction, motivation, and overall employee experience.
  • Lead and deliver the annual Global Colleague survey in partnership with Gallup and share results and best practice with regional teams to drive continuous improvement.
  • Partner with HR and other relevant departments to identify and implement initiatives that support colleague development, career progression, and well-being.
  • Provide guidance and support to local managers in implementing effective communication strategies to foster engagement and disseminate important company information.
  • Collaborate with the Learning and Development team to design and deliver training programs that enhance colleague engagement and enable continuous learning.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices related to colleague engagement, staying abreast of innovative approaches and technologies to drive engagement within our diverse workforce.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations on colleague engagement metrics, progress, and recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Lead the agenda for Group or multi-national consultation groups such as the European works Council, ENED/CEO/CPO Roundtables or other colleague listening forums.
  • At a group level Support in the continued development of Company Culture, Vision & Values and work with local managers on how we further embed in the organisation.
  • Support the Reward team in the launch of the global recognition programme across regions worldwide through active engagement.
  • Support the DE&I team in launching Wellbeing strategies and framework across the organisation.

The person:
  • Degree educated, or equivalent
  • Proven experience in colleague engagement or a similar role, preferably within a global and decentralised organisation.
  • Ideally from Retail, hospitality, or travel industries would be advantageous. Consumer goods or pharmaceutical industries will also be considered
  • Strong understanding of colleague engagement principles, strategies, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically and develop innovative solutions.
  • Knowledge of international employment laws and regulations is advantageous.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to regional offices and international locations as required.
