Job Description

At Halfscalecars we build the world's finest "junior cars". From iconic Porsches to F1 cars. Our products are suitable for children or adults to drive And enjoy.

We are seeking a skilled GRP Laminator to join our team. Currently we outsource our GRP / Carbon work but are looking to have it done in house with our new production of Williams F1 Junior cars.

Ideally, we are looking for a part time role, leading to full time in January when our latest project with McLaren launches.



You will be in charge of laying up 1 car body shell per week, trimming and finishing.

From time to time we will need moulds created from 3D printed bucks from full car shells measuring 3m long to F1 front wings. If you have the knowledge to create moulds this would be a fantastic addition.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in working with composite materials. As a GRP Laminator, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, ensuring high-quality production of glass-reinforced plastic components, and hand laid carbon fibre.
