These newly created roles will focus on coordinating and delivering a high-quality gym experience for our customers by creating a professional, welcoming and inclusive environment for people to thrive.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to be part of a new team providing a friendly point of contact and delivering advice and education to our customers to ensure safe and appropriate use of equipment.

WHAT IS INVOLVED?

You will act as the facilitator and advocate for fitness and wellbeing services within our gym environment making sure that the gym programme is delivered to a high quality. You will be proactive and committed to customer experience, inspiring and motivating customers of all ages and abilities to attend and achieve their individual goals. Responsibilities include;

  • Carry out fitness appointments, assessments, including the delivery of wellbeing intervention areas of work, prescribing health and fitness programmes and supporting the wider wellbeing agenda
  • To assist in any development, promotion or organisation of events or activities and help meet and monitor performance targets and outcomes
  • Support staff training on subjects such as; sales strategies, processes, marketing and promotion campaigns, wellbeing and customer care standards
WHAT WILL YOU NEED?
  • NVQ Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an appropriate area or a willingness to work towards
You will also need:
  • Relevant experience within a Gym and fitness class environment
  • Experience of working in a sales environment and working to performance targets
  • Fundamental knowledge of health and safety practices
  • An understanding and commitment to excellent customer service
