We are seeking a
Gym Manager
who views leadership not just as management, but as a
Dynamic Performance Mentor
role. This is a unique opportunity to join founder Luke Willmott prior to our grand opening and be the architect of our operational success and member experience from day one.
The Role: Mission & Impact
As the Gym Manager, you will be the core operational leader, responsible for translating the Castle Gym vision into
meticulous
daily execution. Your primary objective will be to ensure the gym's infrastructure, team, and member journey are fully
optimised
and prepared for a seamless, high-impact launch.
This role requires a proactive leader who can manage detailed documentation, mentor staff, and drive the pre-sale efforts alongside the Founder. You won't just run a gym, you will
level up
the entire operation.
Key Responsibilities
Phase 1: Pre-Launch Readiness (Crucial Focus)
Operational Blueprint:
Lead the final creation and documentation of all standard operational procedures (SOPs), including health and safety protocols, facility management, and opening/closing rituals.
Membership & Sales Strategy:
Collaborate directly with the Founder, Luke Willmott, to review and refine the membership structures, pricing tiers, and pre-sale campaign strategies to drive immediate revenue success.
Team Foundation:
Assist in the final stages of hiring, training, and onboarding the initial staff team, instilling a culture of
elite performance
and exceptional member service.
On-Site Preparation:
Oversee final site readiness, inventory management, and ensure the facility (including the Gym80 floor and LUSSO changing suites) is immaculately presented for launch.
Phase 2: Post-Launch Execution
Member Experience:
Maintain an unparalleled standard of member service, focusing on retention and fostering a high-performance community.
Team Leadership:
Manage all staff duties, scheduling, and ongoing development, acting as the primary mentor for performance and growth.
Performance Metrics:
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to membership sales, retention, operating costs, and team productivity.
Facility Management:
Oversee maintenance, cleanliness, and the operational functionality of all areas, ensuring the luxury standard is upheld at all times.
Candidate Profile (Must-Haves)
Proven experience (3+ years) in management within the premium fitness, hospitality, or service industries.
A strong understanding of operational finance, budgeting, and driving membership sales strategies.
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to
meticulous
execution.
Demonstrated ability to inspire, mentor, and lead a high-performing team.
Excellent communication skills, capable of representing the
elite
Castle Gym brand to staff, members, and corporate partners.
Compensation & Perks
Competitive salary range:
32,000 - 45,000
(depending on experience).
