Suncourt House Nursing Home is seeking to recruit a Hairdresser to join our team to provide a high standard of hairdressing support to residents living within our prestigious nursing home based in Troon, Ayrshire.

Overview of what the home provides:

Care for residents who have an illness or medical condition requiring frequent medical attention supervised day and night by registered nurses Specialist care and support for residents who have been diagnosed with dementia at various stages Care and support to older adults within a residential setting End of life care, treatment and support for residents and families

Your role and responsibilities:

You will be required to provide a high standard of hairdressing support to our residents including hair cutting, setting, perming and colouring.

Duties will include but not limited to:

Hair washing, cutting, setting, perming and colouring Assist residents with mobility (training provided) Complete all documentation as requested by the manager/nurse in charge Maintain a clean and safe environment Ensure all policies and guidelines are followed Attend all in house and external training as required Report any issues or concerns to the nurse in charge

Experience / Skills:

In order to be considered for this role you will need to have a minimum of SVQ2 in Hairdressing or equivalent. Ideally, you will have experience working in a care or nursing home setting and have experience of caring for people with dementia.

Free training, uniform and PVG fee paid for the successful applicant.
