Mills Milk is a family-run dairy company that has been in our family for over 100 years! We supply locally sourced milk and farm fresh produce to businesses and homes across Scotland.
We are currently recruiting a Handyperson to be a key player based at our busy depot in Largs. Step into a vital role where your hands-on skills will make a real impact.
The Handyperson will have a broad range of repair and maintenance skills and be able to perform a variety of tasks to ensure the upkeep and functionality of our commercial and residential properties. You will handle minor repairs, installations, gardening and routine maintenance tasks with minimal supervision, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to high standards.
Occasional travel to our other site based in Glasgow, or other properties throughout Ayrshire may be required therefore a Driver's License is essential for this role. The role will involve work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
You will be expected to have a degree of flexibility to undertake this role, be self-motivated and able to work on their own without supervision.
Responsibilities:
General gardening tasks such as fencing, grass cutting, strimming and weed control Ensure the yard is tidy, organised and presentable Fix small repairs throughout our properties Maintenance tasks such as plumbing, joinery, snagging, painting and decorating, changing light bulbs etc. Moving items across our properties (heavy lifting may be required)
Requirements:
Previous experience of working within a similar role Valid UK driving license is required for travel between sites (we will provide a van) Strong knowledge of a range of trades, including plumbing, electrics, joinery, and decorating Good eye for detail Pro-active approach with a "can do" attitude Reliable, punctual and ability to work independently Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy items and working in various positions (e.g., standing, kneeling, using ladders).
